Kindergarten's 3 R's is a cute an engaging blog written by a 20+ year Kindergarten teacher. Michaele is simplified person on her posts and posts what she thinks from parents, to Super Star Students, lesson resources, and anything else that she can think of that relates to teaching and her students lives.
One of my favorite blog post was where she addressed how she handles the subject of 9/11. Something else that she describes also is how she handled 9/11 when 9/11 happened back in 2001. Having her describe this is beneficial for a lot of reasons because it can be used in multiple situations for things that are going around in todays world.
A really cool thing about Michaele's blog is that she posts a lot of pictures of how she does things in her class. The picture above is from a series of pictures that she sends her students and their parents before back to school night so that they feel more comfortable coming into the classroom the night before school starts.
Over all Michaele Sommervilles blog is incredibly useful to teachers new and experienced. One of the downsides of this blog is that the posts are pretty random and happen when ever but when they are posted they are very resourceful. I would highly recommend this blog to my fellow teachers!
