This week I had the pleasure of reviewing “for the love of learning” by Joe Bower. Joe’s blog is in-depth and direct so you can find things easily. It is sad to say though that Joe died earlier this year and so his blog is no longer being updated but with that being said his website has some amazing resources. One of the resources that I found on his website are a bunch of How to… YouTube videos that are creative and funny. The videos though were geared more towards Secondary students.
The first video is over How to Escape the Friend Zone. This video is cute but geared towards secondary students.
The Second video is Automatic Thoughts this video could be geared towards all age levels and is very cute about how our thoughts can lead to our own self-destruction.
The third video is How to be More Confident this video is really cute and can definitely be used for all ages because it discusses things that can be related to younger children.
The fourth video is How to Deal with Embarrassment this video is cute and at times can be at knowledge appropriate to all students but it has a tendency to use a lot of big complicated words that younger students would struggle with.
There are many more videos by Well Cast on the blog but even more on YouTube. Overall I like the blog “for the love of learning” and would recommend teachers look through it, the only downsides are that it isn’t being updated anymore and has content geared more towards secondary than elementary students.
