As soon as I entered the blog of Fun for Spanish Teachers, I was greeted with color and excitement but more importantly resources like the one pictured below about starting the school year off.
Another great thing about Carolina Gomez's website is that with everything that she talks about she creates too, she has a Teachers Pay Teachers account with resources that she has created for sale or for free download. For me being able to access the resources that are talked about is important because it provides something solid to work off of. An example of why this is important for me is becuase sometimes while I was teaching in Ecuador I would struggle to come up with a activity for my students to do for their English lessons, I would then go to Teachers pay Teachers and get ideas. After I would get the ideas I would then take the ideas and adapt it to make it my own.
A problem that I had with the blog was that sometimes the content or ideas would be in Spanish. I speak some spanish but I am not fluent and so coming across resources that are only in Spanish is frustrating. I know that this blog is for Spanish teachers but some of the resources would be great for ESL teachers and regular classroom teachers who would most likely not speak Spanish.
Overall I loved the blog Fun for Spanish Teachers! The information, ideas, and resources on here could be adapted to fit not just a Spanish classroom but a regular classroom and an ESL classroom too making it very valuable. Carolina Gomez's blog is highly recommended by me.
